I just moved here from Las Vegas about a month ago. I'm a drummer and I've had ZERO LUCK finding a place to securely store AND PRACTICE my drums. I have an opportunity for a potential lucrative long term gig and I can't find a place to practice for the audition. I did a few hours at Markee but that's not a real solution. 1. Does anyone know of a space I can rent to store and practice my drums? 2. I'm curious.... If I were to remodel a space (NOT SOUND PROOF) in an industrial / commercial area where bands could rent a room (month to month) climate controlled, with power and wifi..... Is that something this musical community would be interested in? Rents would vary based on the size of the room but I'd make it so if you need a small space you could have that.... if you wanted a full band size room, you could do that too. BTW.... This is a common place thing out in Los Angeles and Las Vegas. I'm actually quite surprised that nobody even knows the word and none exist out here... Does everyone just practice in their garage??? Please let me know your thoughts and I'm trying to find my way here. It's really beautiful.... and I'm happy to be here. Just wanna play some music now. In Las Vegas I rented from a company called Lockout Music Studios. Here are some pictures. They had small rooms like 8 x 10 for individuals and other much larger rooms that you could have a large 5 / 6 person group or more.
