Tri-Cities Diversity & Inclusion Council and HAPO present, Securing The Bag. A 3 day event for teens to learn to manage their money. Securing The Bag is a FREE, in person, 3 day program for teens in high school. You will learn how to save your money, manage your money, and make your money work for you now and in the future. At each session, students will be provided a free pizza lunch and entered into a raffle that will be held at the end of each day. Raffle prizes will include food and entertainment gift cards, bank start-up funds, and more! 3/27/21 - Budgeting (HAPO will provide each student a $25 voucher to start up and deposit into their own personal bank account.) 4/10/21- Credit and Credit Scores (Tri-Cities Diversity & Inclusion Council will raffle off $25 additional start up funds to add to 25 student accounts!) This means those 25 students will have a total of $50 to deposit into their first HAPO account. 4/24/21- Applying it all to real life (Tri-Cities Diversity & Inclusion Council will raffle off $25 additional start up funds to add to 25 student accounts!) This means for some students, they will have a chance to win a total of $75 to deposit into their first HAPO account. Reserve your space NOW! Each session is limited to 75 high school students! Students are encouraged to attend all 3 sessions to reap the biggest benefit. As a reminder all students, volunteers, and staff will be required to adhere to all COVID safety guidelines as recommended by the CDC and state government. MASKS ARE REQUIRED.
