Four days of building skills, trail riding, fellowship, and most importantly FUN. Let's show Bentonville how we do it. EVENT OVERVIEW & DATES Riders from all over the country will come to Bentonville, Arkansas to attend the first annual League of Urban Mountain Bikers Bike Fest and Summit. Bentonville is becoming a must ride spot for mountain biking, after millions have been spent by the Walton Family Foundation (Wal-Mart family) and others to improve the trails and infrastructure in and around the town. We look to have 4 days of amazing rides, including guides, shuttles and lessons (both riding and bike maintenance). GETTING TO BENTONVILLE Bentonville is in the Northwest region of Arkansas, commonly referred to as NWA. The closest airport is in Fayetteville (code XNA) which is a 35-minute drive to Bentonville. Tulsa, OK and Springfield, MO are each 2-hour drives to/from Bentonville and may offer better flight options and pricing. TRANSPORTATION WHILE STAYING IN BENTONVILLE It is highly recommended to rent a SUV, Truck, or a vehicle that will allow you to safely transport your mountain bike to and from the trailhead. BIKE RENTALS & DEMOS There are several quality bike shops in and around Bentonville that have rental bikes and can provide service. Gearhead Experience Center, Phat Tire, and Mojo Cycling are a few of the top providers and we are continuing to work on a rental discount for event participants. We are also working with Specialized to provide demo bikes for the event. More information will be forthcoming soon. Please check back for updates. GUIDE/SHUTTLE/LESSONS: The Rich Drew "Ride Series Skills Clinic" on Thursday is included in the cost. We anticipate having professional guides as part of the cost as well. Currently we are working with local vendors to provide the shuttled rides at a rate that will be assumed into the cost or at a significant discount that would be paid by the individual rider when selecting to take part in the shuttles.
