Join us for AIA Fort Lauderdale's 2021 Fishing Tournament! AboutA family-oriented event that will bring design and construction related fields together for a fun day of healthy competition and fundraising. AIA Fort Lauderdale is hosting its 4th Annual Offshore Fishing Tournament! It brings together a unique group of architectural professionals, GC’s, developers, and manufacturers to support good causes and provide a fun filled day. Bring your friends, colleagues, and family and join us for a whale of a day! We look forward to welcoming you into AIA Fort Lauderdale’s fishing family. WAHOO! Anglers to provide their own boats or arrange for their own charter. Boats can depart from any marina in Broward County. FAQsWhat is included in the ticket price?The ticket price includes entry into the tournament. If I do not own a boat where can I charter one?Bahia Mar Marina - 801 Seabreeze Blvd. Fort Lauderdale (954)-627-6309 or any Ft. Lauderdale based charter When will the Captain's Meeting be held?The Captain's Meeting will be held June 23, 2021 at 5:00 pm via zoom. Link will be sent to participants. The meeting is strongly encouraged to attend prior to the event. What should I bring to the event?Lunch, drinks, lots of sunscreen, and any personal l items you may need. When is the Award Presentation?The award presentation will be on June 25 from 6:30 pm- 7:30 pm via zoom. Zoom link will be sent to all registrants. Log in to see if you won! What are the tournament rules?Tournament conducted via Honor code. Rules and Protest Committee will consist of the members of the AIA Fishing Tournament Committee Only fish species listed herein are eligible for awards. Tournament starts June 25, 12:01am Weigh In: Last entry accepted by 4:00 pm-via photos (photo showing fish & scale). Each angler is solely responsible for completing the official entry form (supply form & assign angler number) and submitting via text msg. at weigh-in. Entry form to be accompanied by photo of fish(es) & scale with readable weight indicated. Example to be provided at Captain's meeting.Each photo submitted to have a time stamp. No fish will be entered if not recorded on entry form and/ or photo does not include fish & scale with readable weight indicated. Entry form/photo(s) to be submitted together. No entry form/photo will be accepted after 5:00 pm. Any form not accompanied by a photo(s) of vice versa will be considered incomplete submittal and will not be accepted. Each entrant is eligible for one award only. No more than 4 fish of any one species may be weighed in by a single angler. (i.e. than 4 dolphin or kingfish per angler). Release fish: Sailfish, Marlin, Permit, TarponWhat are the eligible species?Cobia, Dolphin, Grouper, Kingfish, Mackerel, Marlin Blue, Marlin White, Permit, Sailfish, Snook, Tarpon, Tuna, Wahoo, Yellowtail Snapper *Dolphin & tuna have a 5lb minimum for eligibility **Tarpon possession requires a special state tarpon tag Note: all entries must comply with Florida Laws and Limitations What awards will be given?Largest Dolphin/KingfishJudges Prize - Outstanding CatchHard LuckTop Angler - 4 largest fish weighedTop Boat - 6 Largest Fish weighed How can I contact the organizer with any questions?
