Cat5 is a group of professional musicians all with one common purpose, to provide the best music for people all around the country. We will open the season with a modified schedule that will include a 7pm show and a 9pm show. Patrons must follow CDC guidelines that include placing their chairs six feet apart and wearing masks except when eating and drinking. Dancing must be limited to that space as well. The number per concert will be limited and we will be following state guidelines regarding the number of people per concert. Children will not be admitted free on the first weekend and will be guided by the same rules as adults. Group 5 Entertainment Inc. is excited to announce the formation of the Cat5 Band with band members Jerry Thomas West, Camron Dudley, Glen Tippett, Hugh Blanton, and Tim Sidden. FAQs  Will masks be required? At this time, yes. By attending any event associated with the Surry Arts Council, you are acknowledging that an inherent risk of exposure to COVID-19 exists in any public place where people are present. By attending the event, you and any guests voluntarily assume all risks related to exposure to COVID-19 and agree not to hold the Surry Arts Council liable for any illness or injury. Where do I enter?  There are three entrances located around the venue marked "GATE." Exchange your ticket for an armband. If paying with cash at the gate please have exact change as coin change will not be available at the gate. What are my parking options for the event? Free Parking available (with no time limit):  -Mount Airy Public Library, 145 Rockford Street, Mount Airy NC 27030 -Municipal Building, 231 Spring Street, Mount Airy NC 27030 -Andy Griffith Playhouse, 218 Rockford Street, Mount Airy NC 27030 -Mount Airy Post Office, 111 S Main Street, Mount Airy, NC 27030 Are food and drinks available? The Dairy Center will be selling hot dogs, sandwiches, soft drinks, and concessions. Thirsty Souls Community Brewing will sell beer and wine. Coolers/picnic baskets are not permitted. No alcoholic beverages may be brought from outside the campus. Lawn chairs are recommended. What is the refund policy? Ticket sales are non-refundable. What is the weather policy? In the case of inclement weather, decisions to move the performance indoors will be made no later than 5:00pm on the day of the performance. It will be announced on WPAQ 7:40 AM and facebook.com/BlackmonAmphitheatre. If an event is relocated indoors, seating will be first come, first served due to limited capacity and children 12 and under will require a ticket. The Historic Earle Theatre will be the location for the bands in case of inclement weather, unless stated otherwise.  Are Pets Allowed? Certified service animals are permitted. Each service animal must remain with its owner and be restrained at all times. Are there public restrooms? ADA compliant public restrooms are located in the lower level of the Municipal Building, 231 Spring Street, Mount Airy NC 27030 and the Mount Airy Public Library, 145 Rockford Street, Mount Airy NC 27030. Where is smoking permitted?  Smoking is only permitted in the parking areas. Is the venue handicap accessible? Patrons with mobility issues should use the Municipal Building parking, 231 Spring Street, Mount Airy NC 27030. The restrooms in the lower level of the Municipal Building are handicap accessible.
