Newton Police Seek Highland Avenue Break-In Suspects

NEWTON, MA — Newton police are seeking the public's help identifying the occupants of a silver SUV who might have been involved with a break-in on Highland Avenue Friday night. Police said the SUV — shown below — was seen on Highland Avenue between 7 and 8 p.m. when two of the three people in the SUV left the vehicle and walked toward a home that was reported broken into. Police said about 20 minutes later the two passengers were seen hurrying away from the house and getting back into the SUV. Police said one of the suspects was wearing a red hooded sweatshirt and the other was wearing dark clothing. Both were wearing masks.
