I want to start a real band where everyone has something to contribute to create a unique sound. I prefer melodic music that people can remember and sing along to. I would never want to be like a band or rip one off but there are some milestones that represent metal and rock. Like Dio, Iron Maiden, Black Sabbath, Metallica, Megadeth, King Diamond and Slayer. So I have a killer kit and good sounding symbols and mics etc for recording. Easy as pie. It’s just I want that old 70s and 80s sound where there is no drum replacement and guitarists and bassists use real amps and pedals mic’ed up. I like the idea of making real music because most music these days sucks bad. I don’t mind playing double kick and do all the time, and even some blasts, but I want to write songs with a group of guys that are immortal like hotel California, don’t fear the reaper, the number of the beast, rats, holy diver, fade to black, sweat leaf, breaking the law, pour some sugar on me, welcome to the jungle, man in the box, etc. those songs are always gonna be listened to probably in year 2050 and beyond. I have nothing against 8 string guitars but I feel people over complicate something so simple. I’m ready to record now and even can do live recordings at a professional level. And that’s how I feel— If you don’t sound about the same live as on your recording then what is the point?
