Concord Man Killed In Rhode Island Rollover Crash

WEST GREENWICH, RI — A Concord man died from an early-morning crash in Rhode Island Saturday when police said his Mini-Cooper rolled over after veering off Route 95 South and hitting a large rock structure. Rhode Island State Police said about 3:30 Saturday morning troopers from the Hope Valley Barracks, as well as West Greenwich police and fire, responded to a single-vehicle crash involving Jason E. Reid, 45, of Concord. Police said Reid died at Rhode Island Hospital a short time later. Police said an investigation determined Reid was traveling through West Greenwich when he "failed to navigate" a left-bending curve after passing Route 3 and veered right off the highway. Police said the Mini-Cooper then struck a large rock structure and rolled over. The crash remains under investigation.
