Sharon Tarzia [email protected] In January 2020, I retired after 20 years from Primrose Schools Franchising Co. as a School Business Consultant. Previous to that, I was a teacher, program coordinator and Director of a child care center in NY State. After my son was diagnosed with autism, I worked as an Educational Advocate providing information, referrals and advocacy to families involved in Special Education. I have always been creative and artistic, and so this past year, I turned my office into a “studio” and have been enjoying “upscaling” clothing & jean jackets and dabbling in rustic design and garden decor. So even though I am staying busy and enjoying retirement, I still need to bring in some income and I find that I am really missing being around young children! I'm 65 "years young", I ride my own motorcycle and own a jet ski, so believe me when I say, I'm still young at heart and physically in good health in body, mind and spirit! I am not looking to work a consistent M-F job, but rather be the babysitter that you use 2 or 3 days a week while working, on occasion whether you need after school care , or are going out for the evening. I prefer Infants through age 10, but I am flexible and truly enjoy all ages. I can also help your busy family out with light housekeeping, meal prep, homework help, carpooling, or taking children to sports or extracurricular activities. (I lived the life of a full time working parent, so I know how hard it is to juggle everything! ).  Raising a son on the autism spectrum was challenging, however, that journey has helped me to understand that every child is a gift…some just take a little longer to “unwrap” then others! Needless to say, I have firsthand experience dealing with challenging behaviors and of course professional expertise as well. As you can imagine, I know 100's of songs, finger-plays and creative activities after 40+ years in the ECE field. I have 2 children of my own and have a mother’s heart, knowing how important it is to feel that your children are safe, happy and engaged. Peace of mind is priceless… I am asking $15. - $20. Per hour depending on how many children I will be watching and the duties I will be performing. I will be that babysitter your children are asking for!
