Press release from the Atlanta Police Department: 04/09/2021 210992096 Preliminary information:  On April 9, 2021 at around 8:23 PM, officers were dispatched to 1059 Oglethorpe Ave SW on a person shot call.  Upon arrival, they located a male outside of the location with a gunshot wound.  He was transported to the hospital alert, conscious and breathing for further medical treatment. Preliminary investigation revealed the shooting took place at 1107 Ralph D. Abernathy Blvd SW.  At this time, it appears the victim may have known the shooter.  Investigators were notified and will be responding to determine the circumstances surrounding the shooting.  The investigation continues.   Please keep in mind the above information is preliminary in nature and can change as the investigation progresses and new information comes to light.
