Looking for musicians to play with

Hello Craigslist musicians. I moved to Charlottesville in August and just got vaccinated and I’m looking for people to play music with. I’m 33 years old, I mostly play guitar but also play piano, drums, ukulele, banjo, accordion, and trumpet. I sing for fun and sound decent in a limited range but I would prefer to not be the singer if we want to do something with vocals. I love playing music with other people but I don’t have a ton of experience with it. Mostly just the obligatory pop-punk band in high school and then with random friends over the years. I’m relatively open to the style of music. The kind of music I play solo is different from the kind of music I would like to play with other people. I’m not into country or pop music or probably other types that I don’t know of yet. Here are some of the bands I’ve been into lately that I think would be good influences for a group project, in no particular order: The War on Drugs, Radiohead, The Decemberists, Arcade Fire, The Black Keys, Neutral Milk Hotel, Andrew Bird, Wilco, Spoon, Beirut. I have absolutely no experience playing it, but I also think it would be really fun to be in a funk band or big swing band. I’m experienced on guitar and feel comfortable learning most songs. I don’t have a good space to get loud and play with other people. I’m mostly looking for something casual but it would be fun to play live sometimes if it ends up getting more serious. I have recording experience and some equipment and think it would be fun to do some of that as well. Let me know if any of this sounds appealing to you. I’m open to joining an existing group or we can start something new. I just want to have fun and make music with good people.
