Guitar player/song writer. I love doing this, and I'm looking for some people who feel the same way about doing it as I do, who wanna something that's the real McCoy. I've got about 14 0r 15 songs I wanna do right now, as well as a few others that are coming along. If you're writing killer songs as well, and we jibe, than let's do those as well. Not looking to be the head guy, I just wanna play in a great rock & roll band with others who are just as into it. From New York originally. Lived in a few other places as well, and been in LA since about a year prier to the pandemic. I was raised on the Heartbreakers, Dead Boys, Stones, Stooges, Ramones and the Who. I listen to a lot of older stuff as well. Berry, Cochran, blues. The list goes on. As far as my writing is concerned, it just depends on what I'm feeling at the time. All of my influences make there way into what I write sooner or later, and I believe that I put a lot of myself into the mix as well. You have to in my opinion, because that's what ultimately is gonna end up making it original, and hopefully great. Otherwise all you will make is something that is crafted, and more of the same. My stuff tends to move around a little bit. Right before I moved here, I recorded an eight song EP. I wrote all of the songs on it, played all of the guitars, sang lead vocals on one of the songs, sang back up on all of them, and was backed up with everything else by a varying lineup of friends. I will provide a link to that recording. A few of the songs that I've written since that recording have a bit more bluesy, but as I said before, my writing tends to vary. It usually doesn't stray too far from punk where the overall spirit of it is concerned though, because I was raised on all of that and quite frankly I'm still pissed off. Whether by joining something, or by forming something, I'm looking to link up with a singer, a drummer, and a bass player who sings a little bit of backup. Second guitar can be cool to, but not if it's just simply for the sake of having two of them. If someone is obviously right, and they are adding something, than having two guitars can definitely enhance the situation. But if not, than I'm more than capable of handling all of the guitars. I'm staying in the Valley at the moment, but I'm looking for people who are anywhere in the L.A. area. This COVID-19 thing has been a real nightmare for me, because rock & roll music is in my blood. Now, many people are saying that this thing may be heading towards getting wrapped up. I'm looking to get back into the swing of things as soon as I possibly can in case that proves to be true, and I hope it does. Are you with me?
