When we are divided, it allows an enemy to walk right through the middle of both polar extremes and take over. We are divided as Americans because so few are willing to do the work of examining facts that are fed us like candy on the Internet. Liberals are NOT your enemy. Nor are conservatives. It is those who wish to keep us divided, and to forget we are first and foremost all American citizens. It is not any faction of the government that is protesting the sundry of current issues that rankle us. It is private citizens of both or neither political party. We live in a wondrous land where people can without fear express their views, and try to make change. In Germany circa 1935, citizens were not allowed to demonstrate dissent. Nor are they in North Korea or Russia. Not places I would like to live. Just FYI, Rob Manfred, the MLB Commissioner who made the decision that caused you angst, is a registered Republican who has a history of generous financial donations to Republican legislators and Republican causes.
