Family Boat Captain needed for spring, summer and fall in Chicago. . Must have experience as captain and be a confident driver - familiar with navigation in and around Lake Michigan, Chicago harbors, locks and the Chicago River . Mature attitude and capable of safety briefings for all passengers and maintaining a safe operation and boat environment for family and friends (8 passengers maximum) . Responsible for all aspects of maintaining the boat in perfect operating condition and managing all service providers as necessary, Yanmar, Garmin, etc. . Responsible for maintaining boat in perfectly clean condition, bottom cleaning every other Friday, steam cleaning cushions as necessary . Maintain standard food and beverage stocking list as provided by owner . Must have experience in maintaining teak cabin sole and stairs . Maintain current USCG required safety inventory . Regular fueling and weekly head pump out . Excellent communications with owner . Maintains confidentiality for family and guests . Only drug and alcohol free candidates need apply . Flexible operation schedule - typically used between two and four days a week . Must meet the boat at offloading and deliver to slip in early May . $650 per week
