Motorized Window Treatments is a small company that has specialized in measuring, installing, motorizing, repairing and cutting-down blinds, shades, shutters and draperies since 2009. We are a service orientated company that takes great pride in representing window treatment dealers and designers throughout the Chicagoland area. As the owner of the company says, "This job is the same every day but every day and every install is different from the other...you may be measuring or installing a window treatments but each home is different, each installation has its own flair and each project gives its own feeling of accomplishment once installed." If you love using basic power tools and getting instant gratification by turning someone’s vision into a reality within hours this job is for you! A usual day for a service technician could/would consist of: • Printing out the daily log of projects to accomplish • Turning in any paperwork from the day before • Loading up for the days installs • Measuring for blinds, shades, shutters and/or drapery. • Installing manual or motorized blinds, shades, shutters and/or drapery. • Doing on-site trouble shooting of motorized window treatments. • Collecting payment or getting signed documents for the services rendered. A typical day: • Starts at 7 or 7:30am and wraps up between 4:30 and 6:30PM. • Can be one large install or 5 to 6 smaller projects in a day. • Is driving on your own or riding to the days project[s] with MWT's lead installer Candidates must have: • Finish trim carpentry experience/skills. • Their own tools. • A knowledge of rough construction. • A reliable van or truck to carry product / materials. • Basic computer knowledge. • Preferred, but not required experience with window treatment installation. • Preferred, but not required a general knowledge of residential electrical. Training will be provided. Job Type: Full-time Pay: $25.00 - $30.00 per hour
