Description

I’ve been thinking of re-homing my german shepherd, Maximus! My life has been a bit too much of a whirlwind & I’m in the middle of my second out of 3 moves to make this month alone and the stress I think is getting to him as he’s starting to chew his elbows very badly. He has anxiety from his first owner who only kept him outside, so he needs to go to an inside only home but with someone who has a backyard for him to lay in. ABSOLUTELY NO APARTMENTS as that’s where I moved out of and the apartment life took a toll on him. I will require to see where you live to ensure there is no apartments in the equation. Maximus is my emotional support animal so rehoming him isn’t something I’m taking lightly & will not be something rushed. I need to do everything possible to ensure this will be his forever home till he takes his last breath. Maximus is 6-7 years old. Microchipped (previous owners info) & he comes from a reputable breeder who can provide the paperwork on him if need be. He is neutered. He knows shake, shit, lay and roll over. He is amazing with recall & will follow you all around the house. He is super lovey and amazing with my 5 year old. He did good with my previous dog Pongo however pongo was smaller than him & I introduced him slowly. Maximus has had incidences in the apartment where he went after other dogs being walked, he didn’t attack them but he hovered over them and tried to seem real tough, so unless you are super experienced with introducing dogs to other dogs, he needs to be the only dog in the home. Like mentioned he has anxiety so if he is feeling alone or neglected he will wine, he cannot handle being left alone. He is wonderful with cats. He’s honestly the perfect dog but I just can’t help feeling as tho I’m not giving him the best and what he deserves, that there could be better out there for him. He is super sensitive and does not handle food changes well at all- so know you will also be adopting Acania dog food limited ing, look up price ;) As far as shots go he is vaxd but hasn’t had shots since I’ve had him which has been a little over two years I feel, but I do have records of what he has received. There is a reasonable adoption fee of $100- this is to ensure he goes to a home with funds to care for him and to someone who is serious about him. With the right family the price can be negotiated. I’d like to reiterate that I am in no rush to rehome him, he is content where he’s living, I just want to see if there’s a family out there who may be a better fit and more qualified for him. He would do amazing at having a farm job or something along those lines. He is VERY smart and is very loved! My number is Please only text me!
