CONTRACTOR’S ASSISTANT: We’re a Louisville-based home renovation company—McKree Properties, LLC -- McKree.com We are hiring a Contractor’s Assistant. We are looking for engaged, driven, and dedicated people interested in construction. This is an entry-level position with possibility for growth. Flexibility and adaptability to new jobs and new environments on a daily basis is part of the job. Our crew is small and busy. You must be able to work well with others while also listening and completing tasks quickly and well with little supervision after initial instruction. We invest time and energy into our crew and are looking for people who will give the same back to their job and other crew members. We work primarily with restoring older houses. A sense of respect and an eye for detail is crucial. We create homes, not flips and our crew must embody this care and creative intention every day. All are welcome. Hate has no place here. Job Duties: Job site maintenance including daily set-up and clean-up, basic framing and trim carpentry, demolition, and assisting the GC and PM as needed. Skill Set: Basic construction experience, an eye for organization, the physical capacity to lift and carry 50+ pounds and comfortably climb tall ladders/work at elevated levels, an ability to take orders and follow through, a curiosity for houses and learning new things, flexible, clean, timely, and a positive attitude and work ethic. Good interpersonal and communication skills with all levels of management. Tools: Basic tools, smart phone, car/truck.
