You were in the Athletic Trainer Club where we went to college. You signed me up for year-round various intramural sports just so you could be my Athletic Trainer. Do you remember:
Cross-country track: charting my miles, stretching my legs, mending my feet;
Weight lifting: first aid to my hands, motivating me, providing lifting cues;
Swimming: shaving my body, having warm towels and cleaning my locker;
Wrestling: providing relief for strains/sprains, skin care, and giving assisted range-of-motion while I rested.
When I was sick with the flu, you brought me soup to my dorm room, did my homework, applied cold compresses, and made sure I did not have to worry about anything but getting well and returning to sports. You never socialized with my friends, avoided my girlfriends, and you never interfered in my private life. Your college years were singularly devoted to my success in sports/athletics, wellness lifestyle, first-aid, and injury-prevention. Many years have passed. I know you graduated, but I do wonder if you ever really left that club? Contact me.
