Description
Living in a rental that was put up for sale suddenly with no options to stay. The landlord and owner have not been open and truthful about everything, have deflected from my questions from the beginning and just do not, for whatever reason want to share things. One day during Holy Week, we woke up to a “coming soon” sign. I am so unclear on many levels. Do I have to do showings now, or can I look into what options I have first? Unfortunately, I am in no position to get a mortgage, but have reached out to investors that might be interested. The current rent is $1500. House is old but has many nice options such as a large built in pool w slide & diving board & pool shed, koi pond, fire pit area with fountain, hot tub w gazebo (not working) and several sections to the house. 3 bedrooms with 2 smaller rooms that can be used as bedrooms, 1 1/2 baths, 3 car temp controlled garage with an attached lighted shed, privacy fence, large concrete part to back yard. I finally, after weeks, got the landlord to respond to the question of the home being sold as a short sale. She said they are taking bids and then the she picks what to accept. She, for whatever reason, has not been very kind and hasn’t even discussed this as adults and don’t know why she wants to make it hard for me. Someone told me the bank already owns the house, I don’t know how they would know that but are they telling the truth about the landlord being able to pick to gets the home? The realtor keeps telling me I will have 2-3 months, possibly more, but after researching online, it can go as fast as 2 weeks if a cash buyer is at the table. I am truly disheartened that they choose to lie to me. There is absolutely no reason for them to lie. I do not do that to others and I don’t allow them to do it to me. Any advice on things? Thank you for you time!!
