Description

I have Coturnix quail in a variety of colors including Italian, Manchurian, Pearl, Falb Fee, German Pastel, Rosetta, Tibetan, Range, Sparkly, and Calico. Tuxedo and White spot as well. Quail are housed in a large aviary, natural environment, on high quality food and treats so no vitamin deficiencies and treated as pets. Prior eggs from the flock tested, 99% fertile. Currently most of my ladies are Italian until my new girls begin to lay, so the rate of Italian and Manchurian are higher than others. Also great for egg eating! Did you know that quail eggs are healthier than chicken eggs? While smaller, quail eggs have more protein as well as daily vitamins than chicken eggs, less cholesterol, and it's also been reported that those who suffer from egg sensitivities can eat them with no problem! It's also easy to raise quail, as they are much smaller than chickens and begin laying at just 6-8 weeks! They cannot free range like chickens, but can be housed in a rabbit style house, a covered coop/run/aviary, or even in the house as pets! Also note, quail are Gamebirds and not Poultry, that means poultry restrictions do not apply to them. The females are also near silent. They eat Gamebirds chick food, high protein unlike chickens, as well as fresh veggies, grasses, mealworms, and crickets. Would you like quail as a pet? To be self sustainable on eggs? Or just because they're so tiny and cute? I currently have chicks available, so inquire in email! $4 a dozen eggs $3 a straight run chick $5-$10 sexed
