About Josh Greenberg and the Onward and Upward AwardJosh Greenberg, CTO and Co-Founder of Groovershark, was a mentor and hugely impactful role model for many in the community. He chose to make Gainesville home for his company and through his leadership, forever had an impact on the Gainesville innovation ecosystem. The City of Gainesville recognizes April 17th as Josh Greenberg Day to honor his legacy. 3:30 Star UnveilingstartGNV is pleased to announce the GNV Innovation Walk of Stars, a new annual event that will honor leading innovators in Gainesville. This year, we're partnering with Trimark Properties to honor Josh Greenberg's legacy by naming him as the first star. The event will begin at 3:30 and last roughly 15 minutes. Afterward, guests are encouraged to grab a drink, get comfortable, and settle in for the concert. 4:00 Benefit ConcertJoin us for a midday beverage and some great tunes courtesy of Madwoman and Giselle Felice & Erik Abernathy. We’re excited to kick-start fundraising for the Onward and Upward Grant Award, given to an early-stage startup in need. Raffle tickets will be sold for a suggested donation of $5. Ticket sales and the event raffle will benefit the fundraising for the grant award. Tickets & SeatsIn order to maintain public safety, tables, hammocks, and date night chair seating options are only available as a set. Grab your social-safe bubble and come out for an afternoon of social-distance fun!Want to purchase multiple Adirondack chairs? No problem! We'll group all your purchased seats the day of. Each seating setup will be social-distanced according to county guidelines.Yes! the food trucks will be open so you can purchase some tasty treats.
