Schedule Monday – Friday, 6:30 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. or 6:00 a.m. to 2:30 p.m., depending on season (40 hours per week) On call for funerals on Saturdays Wages $14.00/hour Time and a half on Saturdays ***Opportunity to advance / receive raises*** Responsibilities and Required Skills Maintenance Worker #3 is responsible for string trimming headstones, mowing around both flat and upright headstones, and operating a backpack blower on a daily basis. Maintenance Worker #3 must be in good physical condition and be able to do these tasks in all types of weather. Maintenance Worker #3 should have experience operating heaving equipment, such as a backhoe, loader, and tractor, or have sufficient skills on other equipment so that he can be trained for the specific equipment required for digging graves. Must have sufficient physical agility to climb in and out of new graves while squaring corners with a shovel. Must have a clean driving record and a valid Class C California drivers license Must be able to lift 50 to 100 lbs (with assistance) Required Equipment Maintenance Worker #3 required to provide his/her own work boots or hiking boots appropriate for working on damp ground and walking 3 to 8 miles per day. Boots should be sturdy and comfortable. Maintenance Worker #3 also should wear denim work pants and a long-sleeve blue work shirt each day. We encourage all maintenance workers to wear a hat without a logo at all times. Work attire should be clean and in good condition, appropriate for working in front of families at funerals.
