The Libertarian Party of Northern Virginia has adopted our first neighborhood road as part of a national Libertarian Party #RiseUpCleanUp effort to show that Libertarians mean what we say about voluntary action overcoming all problems. After we're finished cleaning up join us for lunch at Lost Dog Cafe! (https://www.lostdogcafe.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/11/Lost-Dog-Cafe-Menu-.pdf) LOCATION: We will meet and start at the corner of Cottage St and Gallows Rd in Vienna, just a 7 minute walk north from the Dunn Loring-Merrifield Metro station (Orange line). https://goo.gl/maps/iN4VcGKmqb82 If you're driving, it may be best to park at the above Metro station and walk the 7 minutes, but there is a small parking lot at the Dunn Loring Park (https://goo.gl/maps/F52hRGBAWUr) next to where we'll be starting, as well as some neighborhood street parking - just be careful of parking permits and limits. After cleaning up the short eastern segment, we will continue west along Cottage St. There will be opportunities for people to turn back early if they can only stay out for part of the time. EQUIPMENT: We'll have garbage bags, but you should bring a pair of garden or work gloves (the cheap kind for $2-3 at grocery or convenience stores is fine). You should also bring water (one or two pints should be plenty), and sunscreen (even cloudy days can burn and dry out skin).
