Join us for a one-of-a-kind cheese tasting and wine pairing! Farm to table cheeses from Podere il Casale and wines from 1915 Wine Cellar Podere il Casale is a boutique producer of farm to table cheeses with a focus on land stewardship and biodynamic principals. 30 years ago Sandra and Ulisse left their rock and roll lifestyle behind in Switzerland on a quest to better get closer to the food they consume. This journey led them to Tuscany where they purchased a small abandoned farm, bought a couple of sheep and goats and settled down to raise a family off the grid. Fast forward and the kids are grown, the farm has expanded to include cows, donkeys, pigs and peacocks as well as apiaries, vineyards and olive trees. None of this happened by accident. Extremely grueling and difficult work made living in this magical part of Tuscany possible. Ulisse still wakes up every morning at 4 to milk his herds and oversee the production of his amazing cheeses. During this one of a kind event, Ulisse and Sandra will guide you through a tasting of his their cheese as well as some of the other products produced on their farm. The cheeses will be expertly and perfectly paired with Tuscan wines from 1915 Wine Cellar. At the end of the event you will also have a chance to purchase some of their olive oil, honey or their inspirational cookbook!
