The Inaugural Harlem Derby Music Festival will deliver a classic derby experience combining the Kentucky Derby's preppy sophistication with Harlem's swag and urban vibes! So come on out! Party with a purpose! Step out in style and join us for a trip down memory lane as we recognize and revive Black Jockeys and Trainers' accomplishments in thoroughbred racing - America's first national sport! Our event lineup is sure to delight and inspire and leave you begging for more! So grab your derby hat, and come sip on a glass of bourbon or Mint Julep. Get your swag on and show us how you do the Kentucky Derby - Harlem Style! The Harlem Derby Music Festival will strictly adhere to all City and State Covid-19 protocols i.e., mandatory mask wearing, temperature check, contact information and social distancing. HOW DOES FOOD AND TICKETING WORK? Festival ticketing is designed to allow you to party with a purpose. You will be entertained, engaged, and inspired as we unearth the forgotten legacies of America's first Super Star Athletes: Black Jockeys. Tickets include guaranteed seating, one Derby cocktail, and an appetizer. Full Derby Menu available and is the responsibility of the guest. There is a $35 minimum per person. WHAT IS THE HARLEM DERBY FESTIVAL? It is a community-wide celebration designed to spotlight the influence and impact of African - Americans in Thoroughbred Racing - America's first national sport. Your experience includes music, history, fashion show, mint julep showcase, best dressed, and hat contest.
