Description
I have a very handsome pair of bunnies for rehoming. Thatcher is a mahogany brown castor and Holden is a red-and-black brindled harlequin. They are young, athletic and sweet-tempered rex rabbits. This pair is gentle without being limp ragdolls. Hayden is more snuggly and Thatcher is more brave. Thatcher’s baby coat is a mottled chestnut and will develop into a deep, even mahogany brown as he grows up.
Standard rex rabbits have the softest, most plush and velvety fur around. When fully grown, they will reach about 8 lbs each and should live for 6-10 years. Rabbits need as much attention, love, and space to exercise as a cat. They are trainable, about as trainable as a cat, and respond well to positive reinforcement with small pieces of fruit.
Rabbits are wonderful gardening companions, and their manure can go directly onto your plants or into your vermicompost bin. Their droppings have made my blueberries and fruit trees sweeter and more prolific than ever. Rabbits eat most garden scraps and can be kept as some of the smallest, most lovable livestock.
$50 each, or $80 as a pair.
