Learn to make your own sewing patterns from scratch In this class you will learn the basics of pattern drafting . We will go over technique along with different styles that can be created with pattern drafting. We will start with creating the basic sloper which is the basic blocks of the body. The bodice, skirt and sleeve. From there we will address fit issues and create a perfect sloper fit for you. By the end of this class you will have the confidence to start pattern drafting on your own. The studio is spaced out so that social distancing is followed. You must follow all regulations by wearing a face mask at all time and using hand sanitizer and keeping your space wiped down. Everyone will have a special station with a sewing machine and a serger and a table space for pattern drafting and cutting. This class will cover the following each week. Bodice pattern drafting Bodice fit issues and re draft Skirt pattern drafting Skirt fit issues and re draft Sleeve pattern drafting and attaching to sloper dress Pattern drafting princess lines and sewing up a sample - By the end of this class you will have a minimum of two designs that you have created within class. Supply List 10 yards of muslin L square Clear french curve Hip curve ruler Tape measure Awl Pin wheel Pattern drafting pinwheel pencils - no pens 2 inch clear ruler paper scissors rotary cutter thread fabric scissors snips pins chalk seam ripper scotch tape 4 invisible zippers that are 22’’ or longer Duration - 6 weeks Time - 3 hours each class Start - April 29th Or June 10th Days - We will meet once a week on Thursdays. Day -Thursday 6-9pm Cost - $345 After this 6 week series you can take pattern drafting #2 and then advanced pattern drafting to perfect your understanding and skill of pattern drafting.
