This course will help architects understand how ACM panels are manufactured, address the design elements of ACM panel facades, discuss proper methods for safely installing ACM panel facades, and review requirements for panel installations to meet specific fire codes, windload requirements and rainscreen certifications. Learning Objectives Describe the physical attributes of an ACM panel, how it is manufactured, and how to design for optimal material efficiencies. Illustrate the design flexibility of ACM panel facades. How they can be coated, finished, and manipulated to create unique exterior experiences. Discuss options for safely installing ACM panel facades.
