Press release from the Town of Lexington: April 7, 2021 The Stone Building Feasibility/ReUse Committee is seeking feedback from the community as they continue their work to research uses for the Stone Building, located at 735 Massachusetts Avenue. The Stone Building is owned by the Town of Lexington and has been vacant for over a decade. Any new uses for the building must fall within the list of possibilities included in the Stone Building deed: Branch library Public reading room Public art museum "Meeting place for classes" Public lecture space Room for children and youth Other purposes consistent with the mission of Cary Library as overseen by the Trustees of Cary Library. The committee wants to know from the community: What unique community needs could be filled by the Stone Building? What aspirational ideas do you have for re-envisioning the use of this important historic structure? You can submit feedback by sending it to the Committee Clerk at: [email protected].
