JEFFERSON COUNTY, CO — Jefferson County shifted back to Level Yellow on Friday, but many businesses in the county will be allowed to operate under Level Blue after they were accepted into the county's Five-Star Certification Program. It's important to recognize the five-star businesses that implemented safety measures beyond what is already required by public health orders and guidelines. "This voluntary program is designed for responsible businesses that are following public health guidance and going above and beyond to prioritize the health and safety of their staff and customers," public health officials said on the county's certification website. "JCPH applauds those businesses that have become Five-Star certified by demonstrating their commitment to COVID prevention," said Dawn Comstock, Executive Director of Jeffco Public Health. "These businesses have shown they are dedicated to the safety of their customers. I appreciate their efforts and hope our Jeffco community will join me in thanking them."
