Job Description: We are seeking a superintendent with 5 years supervisory experience in the field of commercial construction for project in Alaska. Construction experience working with a large team is preferred. Looking for self-motivated, take-charge leader to supervise all phases of construction, including; self-performed labor, subcontractors, inspection, QC, Safety & housekeeping procedures. Proven success of completing projects with an emphasis on quality & bolstering subcontractor/client relationships required. Qualifications/Skills: • 10-20 years experience overall • 2 years experience large projects • 5 years experience as a Superintendent • Competency with MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.) Ability to: • Excellent verbal and written communication skills • Handle pressure, meet tight deadlines and make independent decisions • Attentive to detail and the broader picture • Quick self-starter, team-oriented and able to work with different personalities and professional styles to complete tasks • Service and client-oriented personality Responsibilities: • Organizes and allocates the workforces in various areas to maintain adequate manpower balance for the scheduled construction activities. • Monitors manpower requirements, efficiency, and productivity of construction crews. • Coordinates the material and equipment requirements with planned engineering and construction schedules. • Provides technical direction in construction methods to craft supervisors and foremen to attain required quality control. • Assists in the selection and designation of craft foremen. • Verifies layouts with field engineers and ensures craftsmen maintain the established horizontal and vertical controls. • Coordinates work efforts between various subcontractors and company workforce. • Maintains production controls and verifies the construction progress at prescribed intervals. • Communication with Owner, A/E Team, project stakeholders • Understands and applies the company labor relations policies. • Performs other responsibilities associated with this position as may be appropriate.
