If artists accept our honors, BMA credibility may make it easier for the artist to lock- in bookings, be discovered by music executives and signed by labels. BMA goals are to help independent artists based on the merits of their music, not to make awards based on record sales or size of fan base. BMA will use a percentage of proceeds from tickets sales to formulate scholarships for the youth to participate in music local programs and while attending college.
