LAWRENCEVILLE, NJ — The Lawrenceville School is hosting its 18th annual Big Red Race from April 30 to May 2. This year the race will be virtual. Participants can run, walk or bike the 5K (3.11 miles) at any time before June 30. Interested participants can register at https://my.raceresult.com/166674/, and make a donation ($25 for adults, $15 high school students and younger). Once registered, they will receive a confirmation an email and details on how to post time after completing the race through June 30. All proceeds from the race will go towards supporting the Lawrenceville School Camp, a summer camp in Asbury, NJ, that has served underprivileged youth for over 100 years. Over the past 17 years, the Big Red Race Food Drive has also collected more than five tons of canned goods for Mercer County food banks. This year too, the organizers are asking registered runners to continue donate canned goods to their local food pantry in support of the Big Red Race mission of local sustainability. Participants can tag the Big Red Race (#VirtualBRR) when posting on social media.
