Press release from the Sacramento County Government: April 8, 2021 Climate change is expected to bring hotter summers and more extreme heat events, the risk of wildfires, unpredictable rainfall and with it, drought and flooding. The county's draft Climate Action Plan aims to reduce the amount of greenhouse gas emissions produced in the future and to increase the county's resiliency in adapting to these changes. These suggestions and many more are contained in the draft plan available on the Planning and Environmental Review website. You can make your thoughts about the plan known by emailing [email protected] by Friday, April 9. The Office of Planning and Environmental Review will review comments and create a revised draft in advance of a hearing before the county Planning Commission in early summer.
