I showed up alone around last call. You were with a friend across the patio from me. I noticed you as soon as I sat down. You were in a dress and a leather jacket. I had on a long sleeved dark green shirt and grey chinos. Before I left, your friend got up and went inside, and our eyes locked for a moment. You looked away as I began to smile. It was probably nothing, but, as I walked home, I thought about how I should’ve introduced myself just in case.
