JOLIET, IL — A 34-year-old Joliet man is no longer in custody after being charged with a repeat offense of domestic violence. Joliet police arrested Glenn Reeves, who lives in the apartment units in the 1900 block of South Chicago Street. He faces two counts of domestic battery, both felonies. The criminal complaint indicates that Reeves was convicted of domestic battery in 2018 in DuPage County. The incident that led to his latest domestic battery charges occurred Marc 21. According to court documents, Reeves struck a woman in the head who was a relative or family member. Reeves spent two days in the Will County Jail prior to posting 10 percent of his $3,000 bail, jail records show. A friend of Reeves who lives in River Grove posted the bail. As conditions of his bond, Reeves was ordered by a judge not to have any contact with the woman he is accusing of hurting, and he must stay away from the apartment unit on South Chicago Street while his criminal case awaits trial. His next court hearing is set for April 12 in front of Will County Judge Dave Carlson.
