Press release from the Clackamas County Government: 4/8/2021 2020 has been a truly unique and unprecedented year with multiple crises calling out the best of the people of Clackamas County. There are many inspiring and hopeful stories of the courage, kindness, and perseverance of individuals, teams, and organizations. During Mental Health Awareness Month, we want to honor local superheroes for their contributions to promoting hope, safety, connection, and recovery in Clackamas County during the challenges we have faced. Please submit your nomination before April 29. We are accepting nominees in the following categories: The Super Heart Disaster Relief Hero Recognizes an individual, family, or organization that supported safety and recovery in their community during the multiple natural disasters over the past year. The Super Heart Ambassador Award Recognizes an individual, family, or small group who has raised awareness of behavioral health issues, initiated projects with a lasting impact, and/or influenced systems or policy changes. The Super Heart Partner Award Recognizes an organization, business, or institution that has implemented innovative behavioral health programs and/or policies that positively affect the emotional well-being of employees and the greater community. The Super Heart Neighbor Award Recognizes a unique individual or family, who promotes safety and connection to older adults through acts of kindness and compassion. The Super Heart Employee Award Recognizes an exemplary Clackamas County staff member, team, or department who goes above and beyond, leading with courage and heart to make a difference in physical and mental wellness. The Super Heart Inclusion Award Recognizes an individual, family, or small group who has championed inclusion and support of BIPOC/ LGBTQ+ individuals and communities.
