Cooking with Courtney is bringing you a recipe from our very own Patch Editor Ashley Ludwig, who whipped up an out-of-this world French toast. Trust me, you'll be wanting to cook this up for the family's breakfast this weekend! And maybe lunch and dinner, too... It makes four pieces of toast, but you might even want to double this recipe. Ingredients 4 pieces cinnamon bread, or other plain bread1 egg1/2 c. milk or unsweetened dairy-free milk1 tbsp. honey1 tsp. coconut oil or other neutral-flavored oildash of cinnamondash of nutmegMaple syrup, for serving Instructions Whisk egg, milk, honey and spices. Allow bread to soak in the mixture.While bread soaks, heat coconut oil in a griddle. Fry each piece of bread for about 2 minutes on each side.Serve with maple syrup.
