K5 Enterprises is looking for a long-term CDL driver, or the right candidate to train for a CDL. Quad Axle driving experience is a plus. Majority of the fleet 2018 and newer, many automatic transmissions. Overtime is paid after 40 hours, typically seasonal work 55 hours/week+ Year round work offered. Call Kevin 608-622-9510 for more information! Job Responsibilities: Drives truck to destination. Takes direction at job sites; attentive and alert. Inspects truck equipment and supplies such as tires, lights, brakes, gas, oil, water and all fluids and performs pre and post trip inspections- Post Trip Inspections carry extra weight as any and all issues found can be resolved overnight as to avoid any delay or loss of work the next day. Responsible for the condition of their vehicle. For example, keeps truck clean and in good working order. Inspects material to ensure it has been loaded correctly and is secure and reviews shipping documents to verify all information is accurate. Accurately enters information into tickets supplied. Driver must be in DOT Compliance at all times during employment Must maintain a clean driving record. Must stay off of all cellular devices while on the job sites, or in pits. Must insure that the CB is on the proper channel to allow communication with loaders and other contractors at designated locations Problem Solving – Identifies and resolves problems in a timely manner Must be able to identify materials to ensure correct product is being hauled. Oral Communication – Speaks clearly and persuasively in positive or negative situations; listens and gets clarification if questions arise. Follows all rules and laws of the road- speed limit, cell phone usage, etc. Acknowledgement of Qualifications: Must be a minimum of 18 years old. Must be able to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Employee must have license and documents to drive a Commercial Motor Vehicle. Must have a current DOT Medical Exam (Health Card). Knowledge and understanding of all DOT rules and regulations. General knowledge of truck maintenance. Must have a clean driving record.
