We welcome you to join us on the evening of May 12th, 2021 for the Grand Opening of the Rotary Library Garden, in Valparaiso, IN. Welcome to the Grand Opening of the Rotary Library Garden. Along with our partners at the Valparaiso Rotary Club, the City of Valparaiso, the Indiana Office of Community and Rural Affairs, and the library’s Board of Trustees, we invite you to enjoy this visionary and innovative community space. The Garden was first conceived in the summer of 2018 and has come to fruition through generous donations from community members and grant funds. We are grateful to everyone who has supported our vision for this space. The Garden has spaces for all ages to enjoy and enrich their love of reading and learning. Our Story Walk weaves throughout the park, inviting children to embark on an adventure with every visit. The Main Pavilion and gathering spaces will allow us to offer entertainment programs throughout the year. The Garden is filled with inspiring and unique sculptures and artwork. Our Butterfly garden, Rain garden, sensory garden, and interactive Fog Garden will showcase the wonderment of science and nature. And our reading corner will provide the perfect setting for children and caregivers to enjoy a story. A space that was once mundane has now been transformed into a spectacle of nature, community, and literacy. We hope that your family enjoys it for generations to come.
