CORNELIUS, NC — Nine people were arrested this week in Cornelius, including one man who attempted to run from officers in a vehicle. Several businesses around town also reported crime. Home Depot, Food Lion and Publix all reported thefts, and Wyattworks Plumbing and Tuscan House reported break-ins, Cornelius Police Department said. CPD also issued dozens of citations, many of which were for charges including speeding, and expired tags and registration, according to the police blotter.
