Need Microsoft Word formatting help!

I need someone to show me how to format a book (name in odd pg header & title in even pg. header in Microsoft Word, just someone who REALLY knows page numbering in Word. I'll pay what's fair. When I do it (I know how to go to the menu and select INSERT, then Pg numbering,) but strange things happen with the numbers and "Same as previous" is a mystery to me. All I want is to have the page numbers start at the page one, and then each page go up by one when I ad another page. But it doesn't work out that way, it creates "Sections" and the numbers don't sequence...whatever just reply w/phone number for ME to call YOU.
