Press release from the Atlanta Police Department: 04/08/2021 On Thursday April 8, 2021 at around 4:00am officers responded to 3675 Martin Luther King Jr Dr NW on a report of a pedestrian hit by a vehicle. The preliminary investigation showed that the pedestrian, an adult male, stepped in the street into the path of an oncoming vehicle. The driver of the vehicle could not stop in time and the pedestrian was struck. The pedestrian was taken to the hospital in critical condition and no charges are anticipated at this time.     Please keep in mind the above information is preliminary in nature and could change as the investigation progresses or new information comes to light.  This press release was produced by the Atlanta Police Department.
