Full-Time Machine Shop Helper Position in San Marcos, CA Schroeder Sewing Machine Technologies, Inc. is a manufacturer of automated, industrial sewing machines that aid in the distribution of medical, safety, aerospace, military, filtration, and non-apparel sewing products. As a trusted partner in the Southern Californian sewing industry, we’re seeking a self-motivated, dependable, and trained machine shop helper to help us expand our production-outcome while maintaining exemplary standards worthy of over 35 years of business experience. Requirements We expect our machine shop helper to perform semi-skilled work under direct supervision to accomplish specific responsibilities. To be a qualified candidate, please meet the following criteria: ● At least 1-3 years experience around machine shop floor ● Familiarity with basic hand tools and precision measuring devices such as calipers, micrometers, etc. ● Familiarity with saws, drills, and machinist support tools ● Ability to read and comprehend engineering blueprints ● Ability to understand and execute verbal/written instructions ● Punctuality: We value employees who respect coworkers’ and the company’s time as much as their own, so showing up to work on time and leave only at the end of your shift is a must! ● Characteristics: You should possess manual dexterity/stamina, pay close attention to detail, think critically, exercise organizational skills, and be able to follow precise instructions. Responsibilities ● Cut and saw raw materials ● Deburr, sand, and clean parts to prepare for finishing ● Verify specifications using squares, rulers, and measuring tapes ● Maintain a clean and safe working environment ● Notify supervisors of errors in parts/components or assembly ● Respect supervisors’ directions ● Inspect raw material stock to ensure inventory is replenished If you are interested in this position, please fax or email us your resume for immediate consideration.
