Teach me how to sew!

I am interested in learning how to sew. I am a 38yr old woman who has always wanted to learn. I think it's a skill nowadays that is deteriorating. It's not like the old days where all women knew how to sew. I honestly have no basic skills. Sewing is something that nobody ever wanted to teach me. Just like nowadays where everyone is too busy, that was the issue growing up. I wanted to learn but everybody was too busy to teach me. I have a few sewing materials but not much. I did recently purchase a mini handheld sewing machine on Amazon, they say, it's for children and beginners. Now that I have available time I would like to learn. I'm not really sure how many lessons I'm looking for. I need to start out learning the basics so, however long that takes. I do not have much financially to offer. That is a big problem for me so, we would have to agree on some type of financial agreement. Another issue is, I do not drive so, you would have to come to me unless you live close to Berea where I can walk to you. If you're a good teacher and interested in educating a beginner about sewing, I would greatly appreciate it. Thank you
