COMPANY: Powder Coating Company (Industrial metal painting) Shipping And Receiving job description: - Unload/load heavy metal equipment from delivery truck using heavy duty Forklift. Must have experience moving objects with heavy duty forklift with the capacity to move 30,000lbs. - Verify incoming and outgoing shipments - Document incoming shipments and any discrepancies according to established procedures related to serial numbers, part numbers and other product identifiers - Sort and categorize incoming shipments according to customer - Physically move shipments to designated racks, shelves, bins, stocking or processing locations according to established procedures - Compare identifying information such as count, weight, and/or measures of items for accuracy against documentation - Review customer requirements for packing materials and include those accordingly - Select appropriate packaging and materials for outgoing customer equipment and place items within the packaging neatly in order to avoid damage through the transportation process - Properly seal packages and load them onto flat bed trucks. - Visually inspect equipment for any apparent of obvious defects or damage. - Will also be cross-trained and able to fill other functions as needed. REQUIREMENTS: ** Must be certified to use 30,000 capacity forklift. ** Recent experience performing shipping/receiving ** Bilingual (ENGLISH / SPANISH) **Ability to lift and move up to 50 pounds is required. ** Occasionally, Team lifts/moves of items weighing over 100lbs. **Ability to work overtime as needed Job Type: Full-time Location: Santa Fe Springs Schedule: Monday to Friday 6:00am to 2:30pm plus overtime. Pay: $18 an hour
