Blue Sky Rafting is hiring mature, motivated people that want to be part of a growing company, provide fantastic rafting experiences, have some fun and spend the summer outdoors. We are currently hiring for the following positions for the 2021 rafting season: Raft guides We are currently seeking full and part-time raft guides for the upcoming season. No experience is necessary but guides must successfully complete our training program before getting assigned work. Our training is structured to provide trainees flexibility as well as ample training opportunities to become proficient in river guiding. Upon successful completion of the initial training, trainees can schedule the amount of training days they will require to pass the proficiency guide test. Guides cannot begin guiding commercial trips until they have graduated from training. Training days are dependent on the amount of experience a guide has prior to applying at Blue Sky. Average amount of training days for experienced guides is 1-4 days. Trainees with no experience can expect to need 8-12 days of training. Training dates are currently scheduled for the last 2 weekends in May and the first 2 weekends in June: May 22, 23, 29, 30 June 5, 6, 12, 13 Training is from about 8am-5pm. Additional days and opportunities are not guaranteed so please make every effort to attend the days as scheduled. Cost of training: $30 per day ($120 deposit required prior to the start of training) Our guide training is designed to help prospective guides gain the basic skills necessary to commercially guide intermediate rivers (Class 3-4). Everyone who successfully completes training will be considered for employment for the 2021 season but a job offer is not guaranteed. Our training emphasizes hands-on experience with the help of experienced instructors. Guiding season is roughly mid-May through mid-September.
