Used Car Lot Porter Job Summary The focus of a Lot Porter is maintaining a well-kept dealership lot and showroom. QualificationsStrong organizational and time management skillsOutgoing and self-motivated personality with a great work ethicExhibits a "can-do" attitude Primary Responsibilities Review condition of vehicles received from PREP (If the vehicle does not meet standards, it is to be sent directly back to PREP to be completed)Put proper buyers guide in vehiclePut proper inventory folder in vehicleInstall paper floor mats in vehicle front rowPhoto all vehicles for proper display on our websiteKeep vehicle clean inside & outAfter each test-drive confirm that the vehicle is in good condition for the next customer – touch up if neededConfirm that the vehicle has at least ½ tank of fuelConfirm tire pressure – inflate when necessaryStart each vehicle – jump start and charge battery when neededEmpty trash all around the Used Car facility, pick up cigarette butts, rake leaves/shovel & salt walkways (when needed)Clean vehicles for spot delivery on demand – should be communicated through salesperson & sales managerRemove license plates from acquisitions; trade-in vehicles & lease returns before taking off-site to Roush Recon CenterReport to Used Car Manager any problems noticed with any inventory (small to big issues) – communicate everything you see because it is what our customer will seeTransport inventory vehicles from location to next destination & back (when needed) Keep proper cleaning supplies filled and accessible for when they will be needed – cleaning should be done daily & weekly – coordinated by the Used Car ManagerKeep the garage clean and organized – this is where we show vehicles to clientsWhen completing lot walks for quality check, pull vehicles inside and touch them up (inside & out)When nothing to do… “look for something to do” – coordinate with Used Car Manager to help other departments (when needed/ when not busy with daily duties) The position may be required to:Communicate professionally with management, sales, and support staffDriving vehicles, replacing equipment or parts, moderate to medium physical laborAbility to focus and maintain concentration in a fast-paced environmentAbility to deal with change, a good attitude, and being a team player Additional RequirementsEvenings and Saturday work Driving inventory vehicles to other locations and working with other departments within the dealershipMobile device requirements: IOS 12 or newer or iPhone 6S or newer or Android 8 or newer Benefits Health InsuranceDental & Vision InsuranceCompany-paid Short-Term DisabilityCompany-paid Basic Life InsuranceLong-term DisabilityVoluntary Life InsurancePaid Time OffEmployee Stock Ownership Plan Opportunity for advancementEmployee Referral Program A variety of perks PI133475104
