We are a rapidly growing small residential house painting company located in Portland, OR. Currently we are a team of 4 people, 2 painters and 2 office staff, and we are looking to expand our team for our spring/summer/fall busy season by an additional 1-3 painters. Experience is not required but is always a plus! We pride ourselves in being a fun group of people to work with. We are most interested in finding the right fit of a new team member(s) that can stay with us long term and find a home within our "work family". Job Responsibilities: - Our painters are responsible for preparing various surfaces for paint application including: masking, caulking, filling holes, cleaning surfaces and areas of the home etc. - Correctly mixing, matching, and applying paint (brushing, rolling & spraying) - Attention to detail and responding to constructive criticism is extremely important - Ability to not be messy, and clean up after one's self is also a must - Cannot be scared of heights, and must be willing to work on ladders and sometimes scaffolding or roofs - Punctuality is required, we sometimes start work as early as 7am during the summer months however most days we start at 8am - Ability to effectively work within a team setting and maintain a positive attitude is required as well as ability to work independently, take initiative and be held accountable for individual tasks - Daily communication of job progress, change of conditions, and/or scope of work changes to office staff Minimum Requirements: - H.S. Diploma or equivalent - Reliable transportation to get to and from work is required - Valid drivers license is required - We will train anyone with a good attitude and desire to work within a team and learn! Compensation: - Wages starting at $15+ DOE - This is a seasonal position from April - October, however it is HIGHLY likely that it will turn into continued full time employment if things are going well and you want to continue working with us after the summer - For our full time employees we offer medical/dental/vision, sick pay, PTO and a quarterly bonus structure Job Type/Experience: - Full-time (30-40hrs/week) **Seasonal April - October (with ability to grow into long term salaried position) - Hours from 8am - 5pm (8 hour shifts with 2 breaks & lunch) - No prior painting experience is required COVID-19 considerations: - We provide all employees with the proper PPE and follow social distancing guidelines in the workplace. We will also pay work hours if you are eligible to get a vaccine during working hours.
