Maintenance Technician duties and responsibilities
Responsible for the upkeep of 300 Military Family Homes. Maintenance Technician will usually be required to perform a wide range of repair tasks in the community. Some other tasks the Maintenance Technician may be called upon to do include:
• Performing routine maintenance around the home such as fixing structural damage, for example, window, door or wall repair and painting.
• Repairing broken or leaking plumbing to avoid water damage and restore full use of water fixtures
• Turn over homes from previous tenants to a move in ready home.
• Applying preventative measures to the homes to reduce the risk of future problems
• Fixing potential safety hazards to avoid injuries
• Other maintenance around the village will also be required such as tree trimming and lawn maintenance.
Requirements:
-Must have a clean driving record
-Must not have criminal back ground that will prevent you from getting access to a military installation.
-no previous experience required but recommended to have knowledge working with power tools and hand tools
Education:
High School Diploma or GED recommended.
